My Story
Hi, I’m Jon Cramer, founder of Eastern Edge Escapes. My journey into hosting began with my love for travel. I’ve always enjoyed meeting new people and experiencing how the right place can elevate a trip. It was during my first time hosting my own Airbnb that I realized just how much I enjoy creating spaces where guests can feel truly at home—yet a little pampered, too.
Traveling across the Eastern U.S., from the Adirondacks to the Appalachians, I fell in love with the natural beauty of these regions. While I do enjoy the ocean, nothing compares to the serenity of a campfire by a lakeside, surrounded by towering pines and mountains. I imagined what it would be like to create unique lodging options that capture this feeling, offering guests not just a place to stay, but an unforgettable experience. That vision became the foundation of Eastern Edge Escapes.

What drives me as a host is the power of the experiences we create. Knowing that a guest could remember their stay with us for years to come is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to provide worry-free, high-quality stays where guests feel comfort, ease, and a sense of "wow."

My background in information technology, design, and communication has equipped me with the tools to create smart, sustainable, and functional spaces. Over the years, I’ve honed skills in interior design, graphic design, marketing, and even handyman work—everything from building furniture to installing smart home technology.
Professionally, my experience as an operations and experience manager sharpened my expertise in communication, problem-solving, and customer service. These skills are at the heart of what I do, allowing me to manage not just properties, but memorable guest experiences.
